Market Payment Solution is looking for a passionate, smart go-getter who is eager to dive in and learn while doing so. Join us as a Customer Support Intern! The Market Payment Solution Customer Support team is committed to helping its clients, developers, and partners succeed by advocating on their behalf, addressing technical issues and challenges, and providing the high-quality service they demand.

As a Customer Support Intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across our Customer Support including Knowledge Management, Program Management, and Support Operations, to solve real-world problems and drive initiatives that improve the customer and support experience. The ideal candidate for the Customer Support Intern role is a problem solver who wants to make a difference and appreciates working as part of a collaborative, fast-growing, distributed team.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone and email inquiries from prospective and existing customers
  • Help resolve complicated customer complaints
  • Assist customers with billing inquiries and payments
  • Provide technical support including help with new installations/app download
  • Check account status for customers
  • Answer product questions/Make product recommendations
  • Inform customers of current promotions or special sales
  • Communicate any problems or issues to management for resolution

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a high school program or equivalent: Actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.

Job-related experience

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond in a timely manner to requests
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone and email
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, previous work experience, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $20.10 - $27.00 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity)
